Questions about Prime Storage - Mechanicsburg

View all FAQs →
How much does a storage unit cost at Prime Storage?

Units at Prime Storage start at $24 a month for a 5' x 5'. Other sizes include a 10' x 15' from $135 and a 10' x 30' from $276.

These are online rates: the 10' x 15' is $103 a month less than the regular price of $314. Prices change with demand, so reserving locks in the rate you see today. It's free and doesn't need a credit card.

What size storage units are available at Prime Storage?

Prime Storage has 6 storage unit sizes available online, from 5' x 5' to 10' x 30'. It also has 4 parking space sizes. Only a few 5' x 5', 5' x 10' and 18' units are left, so those sizes may go soon.

Not sure what you need? A 10' x 10' is about the size of half of a one-car garage and fits one to two bedrooms: bedroom and living room furniture, a refrigerator or washer, and around 20 to 25 boxes. Our size guide shows what fits in each size.

How soon can I move in at Prime Storage?

The earliest move-in date is Monday, November 2. You can finish the whole rental online, lease and payment included, before you arrive. Move-in is contactless: sign online and get your gate code by text, with no stop at the office.

Current specials include First Month FREE on select units.

Does Prime Storage have climate-controlled units?

Yes. Prime Storage has 3 climate-controlled sizes, starting at $39 a month for a 5' x 5'. That's $15 a month more than a standard 5' x 5' here.

Climate control is worth it for wood furniture, electronics, documents, photos and clothing. Look for "Climate Controlled" in the unit features.

Can I park a car, boat or RV at Prime Storage?

Yes. Prime Storage rents parking spaces from $78 a month, up to 35' long.

That works for a car, boat, trailer or RV, depending on its length. Measure from bumper to bumper (or hitch to stern) and choose a space with a few feet to spare. The facility may ask for current registration and insurance.
