Questions about Storage Star - Virginia Beach - Harpers
View all FAQs →How much does a storage unit cost at Storage Star?
Units at Storage Star start at $35 a month for a 5' x 5'. Other sizes include a 10' x 20' from $117 and a 15' x 20' from $167.
These are online rates: the 15' x 20' is $111 a month less than the regular price of $278. Prices change with demand, so reserving locks in the rate you see today. It's free and doesn't need a credit card.
What size storage units are available at Storage Star?
Storage Star has 6 storage unit sizes available online, from 5' x 5' to 15' x 20'. It also has 5 parking space sizes. Only a few 5' x 5', 5' x 10' and 10' x 25' units are left, so those sizes may go soon.
Not sure what you need? A 5' x 10' is about the size of a large walk-in closet and fits a studio or dorm room: a mattress and frame, a small sofa or dresser, a TV and a stack of boxes. Our size guide shows what fits in each size.
How soon can I move in at Storage Star?
The earliest move-in date is Monday, November 2. Bring a photo ID to the office, sign your lease and pay your first month.
Tenant protection is available if your own insurance doesn't cover storage. Current specials include $1 MOVE-IN on select units.
Does Storage Star have climate-controlled units?
Yes. Storage Star has 4 climate-controlled sizes, starting at $35 a month for a 5' x 5'.
Climate control is worth it for wood furniture, electronics, documents, photos and clothing. Look for "Climate Controlled" in the unit features.
Can I park a car, boat or RV at Storage Star?
Yes. Storage Star rents parking spaces from $50 a month, up to 50' long.
That works for a car, boat, trailer or RV, depending on its length. Measure from bumper to bumper (or hitch to stern) and choose a space with a few feet to spare. The facility may ask for current registration and insurance.
Is Storage Star secure?
Security at Storage Star includes fenced and lighted, video cameras on site, electronic gate access and 10% military discount (active-duty, reserves).
You'll have your own lock on your unit, so only you (and anyone you add to your account) can get in. A disc or cylinder lock is the hardest to cut.
