How much does car storage cost in Granby, CT?

Parking a car in Granby, CT starts at $27.50 a month right now, for a 25'-long space at GiGi's Self Storage - Stafford. If you'd rather keep it behind a door, enclosed 10' x 20' units start at $79.

Outdoor parking costs the least. Covered parking and enclosed units cost more but protect the paint, interior and tires, which matters for a classic or a car you're storing long term.

What size space do I need to store a car?

Most cars, small SUVs and sedans fit in a 10' x 20' space or unit. Full-size trucks and large SUVs are better off in a 10' x 25' or longer, and a compact car or motorcycle can fit in a 10' x 15'. 17 facilities on this page have spaces 20' or longer.

For an enclosed unit, also check the door width. You'll want room to open the car door and get out once it's parked.

Is there covered or indoor car storage in Granby, CT?

The car spaces on this page are open outdoor parking, starting at $27.50 a month. For covered or enclosed storage, try a nearby city or call a facility to ask what's coming available.

For a classic, a convertible or anything stored more than a few months, an enclosed unit is the safest bet.

What do I need to store a car at a storage facility?

Most facilities ask that the car is registered, insured and in running condition, and some want proof of each at move-in. You usually can't work on the car on site or store extra fuel.

Before you leave it, fill the tank and add fuel stabilizer, top up the tire pressure, and think about a battery tender. Wash it too, because dirt and bird droppings eat at the paint over time. 21 facilities on this page let you complete the paperwork online before you arrive.

Which car storage facilities in Granby, CT are rated best?

The facilities customers rate highest here are Public Storage - Manchester - 100 Taylor Street (5.0 stars from 3,047 reviews), Public Storage - Southington - 100 Spring Street (5.0 stars from 55 reviews) and Public Storage - Manchester - 440 Tolland Tpke (5.0 stars from 31 reviews).

A high score with lots of reviews tells you more than a perfect score from a handful, so check both. For a vehicle, security features like gated access, cameras and good lighting are worth checking on the facility page.
